OPHIUCHUS - The 13th Astrological Sign


Have you heard about the 13th zodiac sign?  I never knew about this 13th sign,  I thought we only have 12 astrological sign or zodiac sign, because we only have 12 months in a year. After visiting blog of - Living Life Inside Out, I was surprised about what I got, it's about my zodiac sign!  All my life I thought I was a sagittarian like Ruhi! But not, I am OPHIUCHUS the 13th zodiac sign. Let's read what I've learned from her blog.


The constellation, Ophiuchus, has been known since ancient times, and is better known as Serpentarius, the Serpent Holder. It  is included in the list of 48 constellations described by Ptolemy. Ophiuchus is depicted as a man handling a serpent; his body dividing the large snake into two parts, giving way to the symbol used today as an Asclepius - the medical staff.  Ophiuchus relates to Asclepius, who learned the secrets of keeping death at bay after observing one serpent bringing another healing herbs. To prevent the entire human race from becoming immortal under Asclepius' care, Zeus killed him with a bolt of lightning, but later placed his image in the heavens to honor his good works.

After learning about the 13th zodiac sign, should I change my name now? lols.  I'm happy to know about the the sign Ophiuchus, although I'm not really under Sagittarius base on actual astrological sign, I will stay as Sagittarian by name. :)

    Well, according to this chart I am no longer a 'bull' as in Taurus. I don't like the 'bull' association he he but I do possess characteristics of that sign. I'll have to research Aries and see if I like it's attributes. Thank you, Sagittarian/OPHIUCHUS and Ruhi for this surprising revelation! Very nice image too :-)

I am not really particular too about this signed, when I was still in school I thought I was Cancer, but now upon looking at the list I fall on Gemini...
